Vientiane, Energization of 3 New Substations Completion
Dated October 13. Accompanied by closing of the last Circuit Breaker, DOEKOY substation system works stably under supervision, which announced successful energization of the substation. CCCE had energized the other two new substations in the last two weeks under project of Construction and Extension of 115kV Transmission Lines and Substations(CETLSS). The three new substations are most important part of the project, and completion of them is considered of critical priority importance.
The 9th Asia-Europe Meeting(ASEM) Summit, the largest event ever to be held in Laos, is scheduled to take place in Vientiane on November 5-6. Although the new substations are contractually stipulated to be completed by end of this year, CCCE was requested to energize them before end of October by the Employer due to the summit. CCCE finally made the energization happen 2.5 months earlier through making internal ahead-of-time goals, comprehensive and close cooperation with the Employer, as well as day and night work schedule.
The substations will play important role in providing stable power supply for villas where leaders of participating countries will reside, the National Convention Centre where meeting will take place, and Wattay International Airport. CCCE considers it an honor contributing to the expected successful summit.
