On July 25, 2022, the launch ceremony of the Lesotho Greater Maseru Water Supply Project was successfully held in Maqhaka Village, Maseru. The ceremony was presided over by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Water, the Prime Minister of Lesotho, Dr.Marjoro, Minister of Finance, Minister of Water, CEO of Lesotho Water and Sewerage Company and its management staff, local chief, representative of contractor attended the ceremony. The Prime Minister delivered an important speech and extended a warm welcome to the contractor.

As the Prime Minister Dr. Marjoro shoveled the first bucket of soil, the Greater Maseru Water Supply Project, with the contractor, CCC Engineering Ltd. (CCCE) as the leader of the Joint venture, officially broke ground. The completion of this project will provide tap water for more than 4,000 households in about ten villages, and solve the problem of drinking water for tens of thousands of local villagers.
